We all desire to arrive in a place where there is prosperity, peace, love and joy. This is a normal human desire. We often do our best to get to that place. This is a place of rest, a place we have been dreaming about all our days. This is where we feel accepted, needed and even protected. In this place we see a certain measure of productivity and this fills our cups and we are tempted to think that, we have arrived!  There is something that looks like what we have been hoping for, but it’s not quite the real thing! Some people call it the ‘second best option.’ This is not entirely what you are hoping for but it does the job. There is a Palace that God has prepared for you and this is a place of Ease, it’s a place where you will feel entirely at home. I believe the Bible alludes to this, when it talks about Goodness and Mercy following us all the days of our lives. As I sat at the sho pp ing mall, frustrated that I had lost my phone and not even sure how to move forward in trying to track it. Suddenly, two elderly ladies came and stood next to me. What caught my attention was that these ladies were from two different backgrounds. One was from a Western background (white elderly lady ). While the the other lady was from an African background. What was amazing, was that, both of them were short in stature, active and well built. Let’s admit it! Everyone deserves to have a chance to make something out of their lives. Life is about being your best and giving your best. We all have gifts and talents that have been freely given to us. This is so that, we can have tools to better our lives and touch others, while we are at it. You too have gifts and talents. You can either acknowledge this and do something about it, or decide to watch others succeed while using their God given talents. It’s time to make a Shift. Over the years people have begun to realize that  if they don’t take their own destinies into their hands, they will be missing out on what God has freely given to them. Now, they no longer wait for systems to direct how they should live their lives. You always need to be prepared for unexpected misconceptions, that end up developing into arguments. This requires one to keep their emotional bank on check, all the time.   Are you feeling stagnant and feeling discouraging because of lack of resources? There are some things that  you’ve got to leave Behind! Make   a decision and move forward with confidence. This will enable you to enjoy the benefits of a new beginning. Your heart and mind needs to shift. You could be staying in the same place, still seeing the same people every day, but if your mind has shifted, your perspective about your environment will shift to a new level, as well. This is what you need. You need to embrace the new, even though it has not manifested in the natural yet. Embrace a new way of thinking and a new way of doing things.  The Blessing of Giving Thanks Give thanks to the Lord for He is good, His mercies endures forever! Psalms 106 :1 God’s mercies never fail. People might fail us, situations might bring with them, disappointments but God’s love is steadfast. That’s why it’s so important to be thankful! When you release your faith and give God thanks even though your situation appears hopeless, you set yourself up for an amazing overflow of blessings.   When you give thanks despite your situation, you are saying to God,  ‘I totally trust You, Lord!’ God is honored in this way and He won’t help but pour out more blessings your way.
