YOUR EMOTIONAL
STABILITY
Relationships can be quite challenging. Whether it’s with your family members, co-workers, friends and even with your own children. You always need to be prepared for unexpected misconceptions, that end up developing into arguments. This requires one to keep their emotional bank on check, all the time. By regularly finding creative and constructive ways of communicating with your loved ones, you will be developing a value system that will help you to deal with conflict when it arises. You need to find a way of developing an emotional safety net for both yourself and your loved ones, so that you don’t find yourself fighting unnecessary battles. Battles can be caused by life’s issues and disappointments that occur when we least expect. You might find yourself arguing with someone about a certain issue that happened, while in their minds they might be responding to you based on a situation that happened to them a long time ago. This could include a traumatic situation they might have experienced before. Often times we tend to fight with the person concerned, while ignoring the opportunity of solving the actual problem. Learning to choose your battles is the best, first step forward. Through this, you will be putting yourself in a position where you are able to see the problem from a birds view. Stepping back allows you to choose your battles and not waste your energy on things that don’t matter. Stepping back protects your heart. Often times we hit concrete walls with our emotions and pretend as if we are not getting hurt. We let abusive situations batter us, while we stand still without a fight. Moving away from a place of confusion, disarray and abuse will allow you to gain a new perspective on the matter. However, when you decide to stick it out even though you are not gaining anything from the situation, you are in danger of hurting and bruising your heart.
